Research & Achievements
Xuebin Wang has been pursuing the designed synthesis, novel properties, and practical applications of functional inorganic materials.
(i) 3D-designed carbon-based materials for supercapacitors, Li/Na/K ion batteries, electrocatalysis HER/OER/ORR, and photothermal evaporation for desalination.
(ii) Boron nitride-based materials for thermal catalysis such as propane dehydrogenation, and polymeric composites.
(iii) Exploration of reactivity-descriptor theory and structure-performance relationship as well as AI for science to guide the rational design and synthesis of functional materials.
Xuebin Wang has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers, with more than 10,000 citations. He has registered over 20 patents and has been invited to deliver more than 50 presentations at conferences including Pacifichem, The 2nd World Materials Conference, Annual Conference of Chinese Chemical Society, Annual Conference of Chinese Materials Research Society, Annual Conference of Chinese Society for Composite Materials, etc.
He serves as committee members of Chinese Society for Composite Materials and Jiangsu Materials Research Society. He participated in THE's Global Academic Reputation Survey and QS Academic Survey. He also serves as committee members for eScience, Advanced Fiber Materials, Information Functional Materials, Energy and Environmental Materials, Materials Today Energy, and EcoEnergy, among others.
