Personal Profile:

Peng Chenis currently an Associate Professor at the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Nanjing University, China. He has been selected as the Excellent Young Scientists Fund awarded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He obtained his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Nanjing University. His research interests focus on the liquid crystals and nano-photonics, especially in self-assembled liquid crystal microstructures, the on-demand optical field engineering, and the intelligent dynamic optical devices. He has authored and co-authored over 60 peer-reviewed papers. As the first or corresponding author, he has published over 20 papers, such as Nature Commun., Light Sci. Appl., Adv. Mater., and Laser Photon. Rev., five of which have been selected as the cover papers. He obtained “China’s Top 10 Optical Breakthroughs” in 2018 and 2019. He served as the Youth Editor of Chinese Journal of Liquid Crystals and Displays, and the Guest Editor of Crystals. He has hosted some funds from the National Key R&D Program of China, the NSFC, and the JKW. He holds over 10 issued patents, and is also the recipient of several academic awards, including Wang Daheng Optics Award, Outstanding Thesis of the Chinese Optical Society, and the Optical Young Scientist Award of Jiangsu Province.
