| Research Fields: Oxide thin films and two-dimensional material growth Courses: Mechanical Design and Engineering Material Processing (60 credit hours) Profile: Gu Zhengbin received his doctoral degree in October 2003 from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University. He has been engaged in post-doctoral research at the National Laboratory of Solid State Microstructures, Nanjing University, since December 2003. In December 2005 when he completed his post-doctoral studies, he joined the faculty at the same laboratory and at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanjing University. In December 2006, he was promoted to associate professorship. From March 2009 to February 2010, at the support of Brain Korea 21, he visited the School of Display and Chemical Engineering, Yeungnam University. He was also a visiting scholar at Cornell university beginning in September 2012 and at University of Michigan beginning in July 2014, both for half a year.
