Research Fields: Space laser communication technology; space-grade optoelectronic device design technology; chaotic laser communication technology; distributed optic fiber sensing technology Courses: Communication Principles; Laser Principles and Technology; Information Theory Profile: Li Mi is currently an associate professor from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nanjing University. His current research interests include space laser communication technology, space-grade optoelectronic device design technology, chaotic laser communication technology and distributed optic fiber sensing technology. He received his bachelor's degree in electronic sciences and technology, master's and doctoral degrees in physics and electronics from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2003, 2005 and 2010, respectively. In 2010, he joined the Optical Communication Engineering Research Center of Nanjing University as a lecturer. Before graduating from his doctoral program, he was engaged in research on satellite laser communication terminals at the Key Laboratory of Fundamental Science for National Defense of Satellite Laser Communication Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology. During this period of time, he also participated in some major projects entrusted by the 863 Program, PLA General Armament Department, and State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. At present, he has undertaken and participated in many projects supported by the 973 Program, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, and some space institute cooperation projects. He has published more than 40 articles in IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, Optics Letter, Optics Express and other journals, and has applied for and obtained 17 patents. His honors include first prize of National Technology Invention Award by the Ministry of Education (2011), first prize of the 5th Wu Wen Jun AI Science & Technology Progress Award (2015), and the 7th "Most Favored Teachers" Award of Nanjing University (2011) .
