| Research Areas: Micro-nano photonic materials and devices; nanostructure and physical properties of optical surface wave; preparation technologies and crafts for nanostructure; photo-electric functional thin film materials and devices Profile: Yuan Changshen earned his Ph.D. in condensed matter physics from Nanjing University (NJU). From 1981 to 1985, he studied nuclear physics in then the Department of Physics, NJU, and earned a bachelor’s degree in science. From 1985 to 1988 he studied modern optics and earned a master’s degree. He then worked for the 3304 Factory of the Chinese’s People Liberation Army, Nanjing, as a senior engineer from 1988 to 1997 and in 1997 became an associate professor in Department of Materials Science and Engineering, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, NJU. | |
