Lab Homepage: Research Areas: Optical properties of metallic micro/nano structures; focused ion beam (FIB) micro/nanofabrication technologies Profile: Wang Qianjin, engineer, is a member of the FIB specialized committee of China Electric Microscope Society (CEMS). He earned his bachelor’s in photoelectronics in 2002 and master’s in condensed matter physics in 2005 from the Department of Physics, Nanjing University (NJU). Since then, he has been working with NJU. His research focuses on the optical properties of metallic micro/nano structures and FIB micro/nanofabrication. He has conducted research on the basic properties, causes, transferring mechanisms, and array types of surface plasmon (SP) electronmagnetic field in metallic sub-wavelength microstructures as well as the manipulation by unit cell parameters on the enhanced transmission. He is well-experienced in applying the FIB system and especially adept at high precision machining of complex artificial microstructure of micron or deep submicron via FIB over a large surface. |
