On March 27, 2024, Elsevier released its 2023 list of “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers”.
9 professors of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nanjing University (NJU) were selected for the list, and they are: Prof. Shicheng Yan, Prof. Desheng Kong, Prof. Minghui Lu, Prof.Hui Wei, Prof. Jia Zhu, Prof. Haoshen Zhou from the discipline of materials science and engineering； Prof. Di Wu, Prof. Lin Zhou from physics discipline；Prof. Ting Xu from the discipline of optical engineering.
In 2023, a total of 5,801 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” from 496 universities, enterprises, and scientific research institutions were listed, covering 10 subject areas and 84 first-level disciplines of the Ministry of Education, among which 34 researchers were from foreign language and literature discipline and 19 scholars were from the field of sociology.
