报告摘要
Bismuth is one of the most thoroughly investigated elements among p-block ones, which has indeed been coined ‘the wonder metal’ because of its diverse oxidation states and profound propensity to form clusters. In this presentation, I will talk about recent development on the synthesis, experimental and theoretical characterization, and functional applications of a series of optically active materials activated by some peculiar Bi species.
个人简介
Dr. Hong-Tao Sun is Assistant Professor in Hokkaido University, Japan. He obtained PhD degree in Materials Science from Chinese Academy of Sciences. From Aug., 2006 to 2009, he worked in Optoelectronics Research Centre, University of Southampton, United Kingdom, and Kobe University, as postdoc and JSPS Research Fellow, respectively. From Oct. 2009, Dr. Sun worked as tenure-track researcher in International Center for Young Scientists (ICYS), National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan. From April, 2012, he is Assistant Professor in Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University.
His research is mainly focused on the p-block-element activated photonic materials and films for infrared photonics, Si-based films and devices, synchrotron X-ray techniques and quantum chemistry calculations. As corresponding author, in this regard he published a series of papers in Adv. Mater., JACS, Small, JMC, APL, and Opt. Lett., and also was invited to write a review paper for Progress in Materials Science.
