题目: Coherent wave control with electromagnetic and acoustic metamaterials

Jensen Li received his BEng degree (first class honours) in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, China, in 1998 and his MPhil, PhD degree in physics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong, China, in 2000 and 2004, respectively. From 2005 to 2007, he worked in Imperial College London, with support from a Croucher Foundation postdoctoral fellowship, where he developed the theoretical scheme of carpet cloaking. From 2007 to 2009, he worked at the University of California at Berkeley, participated in the realization of carpet cloaking at infrared frequencies. He also started to work on acoustic hyperlens with super-resolution there. From 2009 to 2013, he was an assistant professor at the City University of Hong Kong. He continued his research in metamaterials and also worked on a special scheme called space-coiling metamaterials in achieving acoustic negative indices without local resonance from theory to realization. In 2013, he joined University of Birmingham as a senior lecturer. His current interests include synthetic magnetic field for photon, non-Hermitian optical systems, acoustic metamaterials and plasmonic metasurfaces.
